Chocolate Dipped Banana Peanut Bites
Gluten Free / Dairy Free / Sugar Free
Ingredients for Homemade Peanut Butter
3 Cups Raw Peanuts (You can also substitute for any nut butters. Almond butter, Sunflower Seed Butter… etc.)
1/2 Cup Coconut Oil
Pinch of salt
Directions for Homemade Peanut Butter
(You can also use almonds to create your own almond butter using this recipe) or store bought nut butters, preferably raw organic.
Soak peanuts in water for 6-8 hours
Place soaked peanuts, coconut oil & a pinch of salt in a high speed blender or food processor. Process for 10-15 minutes until smooth.
Ingredients for Chocolate
1 Cup Raw Cacao Powder
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
1/4 Raw Honey (optional – for a more bitter chocolate leave out the honey)
Step 1 – Prep your Banana Bites
Slice bananas and fill centre with peanut butter and place in the freezer for 15 minutes. After your banana bites are chilled start making your chocolate.
Step 2 – Directions for Chocolate
Place coconut oil in small sauce pan on medium heat. Once coconut oil is liquid turn off sauce pan and add cacao powder and honey and mix. Pour chocolate over banana bites and place in freezer until frozen.
